Homework #9 (Due 3/22/2016): Essay Practice
You will write one essay over Spring Break. You may choose either to practice a Document-Based Question (DBQ) or a Long Essay Question (LEQ). You may also choose whether to practice under the time constraints of the AP test or to take more time crafting an excellent essay.
At the top of your essay, written or typed, you
Option A: Complete the attached DBQ. If you want to practice under time constraints, you should give yourself 55 minutes.
Option B: Answer the following LEQ prompt. If you want to practice under time constraints, you should give yourself 35 minutes.
Some historians and critics of the civil rights movement have argued that it did not achieve its goals in the 1954-1965 period. Refute, modify, or support this argument.
*If you decide you want to practice both essays, I'm happy to give you extra credit for the second essay - it's certainly not necessary, though!
